The Russo Brothers would like to direct a Black Widow solo movie

January 12, 2016 by admin

Since debuting in Iron Man 2 back in 2010, there has been a lot of talk whether or not Black Widow would get her own solo movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As we know right now, there aren’t any plans for a solo-outing in Phase 3 so it likely won’t be before 2019 if it’s ever going to happen. However, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo would like to direct it.

“Hell yeah! We love that character,” Joe Russo exclaims when asked about a potential Black Widow movie (via ComicBook). “We find that the character is one of if not the richest character in the Marvel universe. A very complex character, haunted by demons and her understanding of the world is fascinating. I think there is a lot that can be done with that character.”
