The Walking Dead comes to Dead by Daylight

July 9, 2025 by Andrew Newton

A brand-new chapter arrives for Dead by Daylight later this month as characters from The Walking Dead arrive as Survivors. Behaviour Interactive has added Rick Grimes and Michonne as our new Survivors of the Fog with a Legendary Outfit from The Walking Dead Collection that brings Daryl Dixon into the action. Watch the new trailer below…

This latest addition brings three new perks for both new characters as well as original voice acting from Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) and Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon).

After being swept into the Fog following a heroic sacrifice to save his community, former sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes is use to violence and horror. His natural leadership abilities are reflected in his three character-specific Perks:

  • Apocalyptic Ingenuity: Rummage through Chests to gain the ability to replace a Broken Pallet with a Fragile Pallet.
  • Come and Get Me!: After Unhooking a Survivor, while crouched and idle you may use an Ability to make all nearby injured and dying Survivors completely silent and hide their Pools of Blood. In exchange for this, his Aura is briefly revealed to the Killer.
  • Teamwork: Toughen Up: When another nearby Survivor Pallet stuns or blinds the Killer while Rick is injured, his Grunts of Pain, Scratch Marks and Pools of Blood will be completely reduced for a duration.

With Rick vanishing into the Fog, Michonne set out to find him, and find him she did when she ventured into the Black Fog. Being no stranger to death, Michonne uses her survival instincts in the following three Perks:

  • Conviction: Heal Survivors to activate Conviction. While recovering in the Dying State, gain the ability to instantly recover for a brief time. Michonne will become Broken and return to the Dying State if she doesn’t manage to heal in time.
  • Last Stand: After spending in the Killer’s Terror Radius while not in chase, Fast-Vault while near the Killer to stun them for a duration.
  • Teamwork: Throw Down: Successfully pallet stun a Killer to temporarily give nearby injured Survivors Endurance and reveal the Killer’s Aura to them.

The Walking Dead Collection already includes several iconic Outfits from the series, and now the legendary Outfit of Daryl Dixon brings Daryl into the Fog as a new character. This collection also includes Rick’s Last Day On Earth Outfit, Rick’s Brutal Awakening Outfit, Michonne’s The Next World Outfit, her What We Become Outfit. There are also several Uncommon recolours.

There’s also been the addition of a unique new Map Tile, which appears whenever these new Survivors are loaded into the Garden of Joy Map. This Tile features locations from the series, including the prison and the iconic “Don’t Open Dead Inside” hospital doors.

Look out for Rick and Michonne arriving in Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead on 29th July.
