The writer for Netflix’s Death Note 2 shares an update

November 14, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Greg Russo, the writer for Netflix’s Death Note 2, has shared an update about the movie sequel.

Death Note is one of the most popular manga around and Netflix’s adaptation did so well for the platform that they have confirmed a sequel is in development. The writer for the project is Greg Russo and he has shared an update with fans.

Replying to those who are pressing him for details about the sequel, Russo took to Twitter and posted the following: “Appreciate all the check ins from #DeathNote fans. Have something very cool in the works for the franchise- can’t talk about it yet but it’s def alive and in good hands.”

Russo wasn’t involved in the first film so it will be interesting to see what he brings to the franchise compared to what has come before. At the very least, fans now have confirmation that the sequel is progressing nicely.
