Tim Roth says the Abomination was considered for Avengers: Age of Ultron

December 29, 2014 by Thomas Roach

Despite The Incredible Hulk not being as well received as some of Marvel Studios’ movies, it seems that the villain was considered to make another appearance in Avengers; Age of Ultron. In an interview with Crave Online to promote his new movie Selma, Tim Roth was asked about his role as the Abomination and if he was likely to return as the character…

“They were going to [bring me back],” said Roth. “They did do that. They were thinking, in The Avengers 2 or something. There was a movie we could do that at one point, but way back when. It just kind of got swept under the carpet I guess. That would be hilarious.”

With no other standalone Hulk movies in Marvel’s Phase Three, it is unlikely that the villain Abomination will appear in the series in the foreseeable future, although perhaps there could be room for the character in Captain America: Civil War?

Would you like to see Tim Roth returning as the Abomination in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
