Trailer for action thriller 5lbs of Pressure starring Luke Evans, Rory Culkin and Alex Pettyfer

February 17, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Lionsgate has released a poster and trailer for writer-director Phil Allocco’s upcoming action thriller 5lbs of Pressure.

Luke Evans stars as Adam, a man looking to start over and seek forgiveness from the son who grew up without him after he has served a 16 year prison sentence for murder. However, his old life of violence soon catches up with him when the brother of the man he murdered comes looking for revenge. Watch the trailer below…

Adam (Luke Evans), an ex-con back in his old neighborhood after serving a 16-year stretch for murder, walks a rocky path of forgiveness toward the son who grew up without him, while the bitter, volatile brother of the youth he killed looms in the background. Meanwhile, Mike (Rory Culkin), sick of doing the bidding of his drug-dealing uncle (Alex Pettyfer), is desperate to leave his sordid life behind. When Adam and Mike’s paths converge, inescapable destiny will give way to violence…and a final, fleeting shot at redemption.

Joining Luke Evans in the cast are Rory Culkin, Alex Pettyfer, Rudy Pankow, and Stephanie Leonidas.

5lbs of Pressure arrives on cinemas and on digital platforms on March 8th.
