Transformers: Galactic Trials gets new gameplay trailer

September 5, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Outright Games, along with Hasbro, have released a brand-new trailer (see below) for their upcoming rogue-lite racing game set in the Transformers universe, Transformers: Galactic Trials.  This new trailer reveals eleven of the beloved characters that players will be able to race as, including Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

As well as the above mentioned Autobots, the new trailer also confirms Elita-1, Wheeljack, Arcee and the Decepticons Megatron, Shockwave, Flamewar, Soundwave, Nightbird and Nemesis Prime as playable characters.  Players will begin each game as the iconic characters Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron, with the others unlocking as they progress.

Each character will come with two unique skills and the trailer shows off  Optimus Prime’s gravitational axe throw, Bumblebee’s plasma stings, Elita-1’s Missile Rain and Wheeljack’s wrecking bomb.

In TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials, the Autobots and Decepticons are on a mission to recover the Prime Relics stolen by Nemesis Prime, and receive the huge power that they grant to the one holding them. Players will battle and race their way through the single-player Galactic Trials game mode and use any relics gained to upgrade their speed, damage and handling.  There’s also the chance to compete against a friend in the game’s Arcade Mode with local multiplayer two people.

“We’re pleased to be giving fans a brand-new look at TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials, and we can’t wait for them to experience the action-packed combat and high-speed races waiting for them in game,” said Stephanie Malham, Managing Director at Outright Games. “Working with Hasbro on a TRANSFORMERS rogue-lite racing game has been an incredible experience and we hope TRANSFORMERS fans of all ages enjoy this unique hybrid game.”

Transformers: Galactic Trials will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Steam on 11th October.
