Trooper Eddie arrives in Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast

November 22, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Ahead of Iron Maiden’s 2018 European Tour, developer Nodding Frog have revealed that the iconic Trooper Eddie has arrived on their award winning Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast mobile game available on both iOS and Android devices.

A familiar character to fans of Iron Maiden, Trooper Eddie was a character from the song, ‘The Trooper’ which featured in the 1983 ‘Piece of Mind’ album and his appearance in the game is sure to delight plenty of fans (Even if you weren’t a fan of Iron Maiden I’m sure you will have seen the character plastered on posters if you were a visitor to HMV in the 1980’s).

In Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast Trooper Eddie is a five star character available exclusively from the Trooper Soul and brings with him a series of team enhancing skills and abilities to players of this ever expanding mobile RPG.

“For this tour we decided to base the theme around the Legacy Of The Beast name, which suits our purposes perfectly by giving us scope to play a lot of 80’s favourites and to get creative and have some fun, especially with Eddie! The game has always paid tribute to the recording and touring plans of the band with the timing, characters, worlds and even the launch of the PVP arena all having relevance to what the band were up to at any one time. With ‘The Trooper’ a mainstay of our touring set list for many years now I know our fans will finally love using ‘Trooper Eddie’ in the game. He looks incredible and his special ability is one of the wildest things we have seen in the game so far.” Rod Smallwood – Iron Maiden Manager.
