August 30, 2024 by Andrew Newton

We Dig Games has announced that Date Z, a visual novel blending high school romance and zombie survival, is now available on Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.  When the dead start to rise it is up to players to ensure their survival by finding a date.  Watch the new trailer below….

In Date Z, players take the role of a senior transfer student who is making their way through the first week at a new school. The new school looks pleasant and innocent enough, but beneath its polished floors lies an abandoned military base and something sinister is stirring.

When a sudden outbreak of a zombie virus occurs and the dead begin to feast on the living it’s up to players to use their wits, charm and bravery to forge alliances with others. What begins as a simple quest to fit in and find a date becomes a fight for survival and players will need to uncover the school’s secrets, ensure their safety and, above all else, find a date for Friday.

Date Z features:

  • A rich heart-racing story where every choice has consequences, every decision can lead to multiple story paths and endings.
  • Five unique characters to date, each with their own personalities, backstories and secrets.
  • Explore multiple timelines with a mysterious device and reveal unique scenarios.
  • Discover the secrets hidden within the former military base.
  • High quality comic style art and animation bring the visual novel to life.
  • Nail-biting survival elements – As a student players will need to balance the demands of high school life with the increasing threat of zombies. Use strategic thinking and quick decision-making to survive.

Find a date and don’t die in Date Z, available now on PC and consoles.
