Vera Farmiga and more join Rupert Wyatt’s Captive State

January 27, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Bates Motel and The Conjuring star Vera Farmiga has signed on to appear in Captive State, the upcoming sci-fi from director Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes).

Along with Farmiga, Jonathan Majors (When We Rise) and Colson Baker, a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly (Roadies) have also joined the cast, which features the previously announced John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane) and Ashton Sanders (Moonlight).

The project is set in a Chicago neighbourhood almost a decade after an alien invasion and occupation, and explores the lives on both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents.
