Vertigo Games releases big update to celebrate launch of Blackshot on Steam

With the recent launch of their free to play FPS Blackshot on Steam, Vertigo games and Papaya Play have announced the release of Overdrive, a massive content update.  This update adds a good amount of new weaponry, new maps, game modes and premium packages.

With this latest update, players can unleash huge amounts of pain with 22 new weapons.  These new weapons include the classics – MDR, M1A SOCOM, G36, and the legendary MSR, all of which have been rebalanced and retextured.

Ten fan favourite maps make their return to the game including Junk Yard II, Normandie II, Cargo Ship, Savage Ground, Secret Base and Lab and there are also 2 game modes to play on them.  These two game modes are: Ultra Rapid Fire and Free For All and will join the existing six modes allowing players more choices of how to play.

The update brings four brand new premium packages to the shop.  Each of these 4 packages will contain one of 4 unique firearms, including the G36 Neo Striker, KSG Legion, AWP Harimau and P90 Legion.

BlackShot is a free-to-play, first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world.Join other mercenaries in brutal team combat, multiple game modes, and experience in-depth customization to create your perfect warrior!

Blackshot is available now on Steam.
