Video Review – Batman: Caped Crusader is a Saturday Morning Cartoon for Grown Ups

August 1, 2024 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno reviews Prime Video’s Batman: Caped Crusader…

If you loved what we saw cooked up with X-Men ’97 and were an X-Men: The Animated Series fan, then OG fans of Batman: The Animated Series will love this new series.

Batman: Caped Crusader takes the noir stylings of the classic ’90s series and gives them a more mature edge. Join critic EJ Moreno as he examines what works with this new series, its few weak spots, and why he wants to see more.

Check out the review below, and be sure to follow us on YouTube for more reviews, exclusive interviews, and other video content…

Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant, and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—The Batman. His one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.

Featuring in the voice cast of Batman: Caped Crusader are Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Christina Ricci as Catwoman, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn and Diedrich Bader as Two-Face, as well as Minnie Driver, Haley Joel Osment, Mckenna Grace, Reid Scott, Gary Anthony Williams, John DiMaggio, Dan Donohue, and Paul Scheer.
