Video Review – Queer is dominated by Daniel Craig’s top-tier performance

November 18, 2024 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno with a video review of Queer…

Luca Guadagnino already wowed audiences in 2024 with his sexy and scandalous film Challengers, but now the filmmaker is back with something even saucier in Queer.

Adapting the challenging work of William S. Burroughs, Guadagnino tackles the material with his bold visionary style. What Queer also serves is Daniel Craig on a silver platter; Craig is explosive as he’s ever been and could be on his way to an Academy Award.

Queer is one of the year’s most erotic and must-see films. Check out the review below, and be sure to follow us on YouTube for more reviews, exclusive interviews, and other video content…

Queer comes from director Luca Guadagnino (Bones and All, Challengers), which is based on William S. Burroughs’ 1985 novel of the same name. Set in 1950s Mexico City, the film centers on William Lee (Daniel Craig), an American Expat who develops an interest in Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey), a former soldier who has just arrived in the city.

Lesley Manville, Jason Schwartzman, Henrique Zaga, and Omar Apollo join Craig and Starkey in the cast.

Queer is scheduled to be released in the United States in a limited theatrical release on November 27th by A24.
