Vincent D’Onofrio would take on a role in the DC Extended Universe

June 26, 2017 by Jordan Jones

Season one of Daredevil was a delightful surprise for many reasons. For starters, it was a live-action interpretation of Daredevil that wasn’t terrible, and it also featured fight-choreography that put most Marvel movies to shame. Lastly: Kingpin.

Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin was sophisticated, terrifying, cruel, and absolutely mesmerising to watch. In a universe with a history of underwhelming villains, Kingpin stood out as one of the most intriguing in the Marvel live-action universe.

Now, it’s a given that we will see Wilson Fisk (a.k.a. Kingpin) return in season 3 of Daredevil, but that doesn’t mean Vincent D’Onofrio is content playing just one comic book character. When asked by a fan on Twitter: “Would you appear in the DCEU if a role were offered to you?”, this was his reply:

Yup https://t.co/dpxNOFCAZ0

As the various comic book universes move along, we are beginning to see actors play multiple roles: Tom Hardy, Josh Brolin, etc. While it would be great to have a man of Vincent D’Onofrio’s talent in the DCEU, it may actually be impossible for him to play on both teams. Chris Hemsworth recently revealed that it is (allegedly) illegal for MCU actors to take on a role in the DC Extended Universe. Does this apply to the television side? Who knows.

Which DC character could you see Vincent D’Onofrio playing? Let us know in the comments below…
