Warner Bros. and DC Films showcasing Black Adam and Shazam: Fury of the Gods at Comic-Con

July 10, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Having been cancelled for the past two years due to the pandemic, the San Diego Comic-Con International returns this month with what promises to be an exciting weekend for both fans in attendance on the convention floor and those following along at home.

Comic-Con may have been losing some of its sparkle among the big Hollywood players in recent times as studios moved towards their own events (see Disney’s D23, Warner Bros.’ DC FanDome et al), but absence makes the heart grow fonder and this year is set to feature a number of big Hall H presentations, including a DC Films showcase from Warner Bros. on Saturday July 23rd.

To the surprise of no one, The Flash won’t be part of this year’s Worlds of DC panel, but Dwayne Johnson has revealed on Instagram that he’ll be on hand to promote Black Adam, which his arch-enemy Shazam will also be present as Zachary Levi leads a panel for the sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

Cotrona as Pedro Pena, Marta Milans as Rosa Vasquez, Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez, and Djimon Hounsou as The Wizard. New additions to the cast include Helen Mirren as Hespera, Lucy Liu as Kalypso, and Rachel Zegler in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
