Winter festivities arrive in Dying Light 2: Stay Human

December 12, 2024 by Andrew Newton

The festive season has returned to Villedor as Techland announces the return of the fan-favourite event, Winter Tales: Gifts from Above, to Dying Light 2: Stay Human.  Santa has once again avoided becoming infected and will be dropping gifts to players until 2nd January.  Accompanying the arrival of Winter Tales 2025 is Patch 1.20, which will streamline the prologue and allow players to get into the action quicker.

Winter has arrived in Villedor and a Christmas tree has arrived, however there are no decorations.  The citizens can’t get into the festive spirit without the Christmas dec’s but by completing bounties from Baka or looting containers, players can gather trinkets, ornaments and decorations to dress the tree.  Spreading the Christmas cheer will reward the player’s hard work with gifts like the Killer Krampus Outfit and Winter Sweets, which can be spent at Baka’s stall.  Players will also be able to grab the Above the Law Bundle completely for free.

Baka has got rid of his Halloween stall, made it more festive and added unique items, such as the boomerang-style Skoll, Snowballs and much more.  There are also items such as Killer Krampus’ The Punisher weapon, allowing players to punish the zombies for being naughty.  Be sure to check out Baka’s stock of goodies before taking on bounties.

For each level increase of Baka’s reputation, players will receive a letter that they can send off to Santa (use the letter box at side of Baka’s stall) and be gifted with an airdrop full of presents. There will be weekly airdrop challenges (with changing rewards) that will give players the chance to earn the entire Killer Krampus Gear Set.

Such is the power of Christmas that even the zombies get into the spirit of things as Uncle Snows and his helpers – the Naughty Infected and Virals have returned.  The Naughty Infected will appear all around Villedor and Uncle Snows will appear around the airdrops.  Also, watch out for the new festive zombie, the Ice Spitter, who will shoot icy projectiles.

Take part in the Winter Tales: Gifts from Above event and earn yourself your very own Killer Krampus set.
