Yerin Ha joins Bridgerton as Benedict’s love interest

August 19, 2024 by Ricky Church

The next season of Bridgerton has chosen its new love interest. Yerin Ha (Halo) has joined the cast as Sophie Beckett, the main love interest for Benedict Bridgerton as the fourth season will be based on Julia Quinn’s novel An Offer From a Gentleman.

As the second oldest Bridgerton child and the second son, Benedict has been loathe to enter into marriage or any official relationship. That will change though in his season as he meets a mystery lady at a masquerade ball.

The synopsis for season four says it “turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.”

Ha’s Sophie Beckett aka Lady in Silver is “the illegitimate daughter of an earl and one his maids. She was brought up in her father’s house, though he never publicly acknowledged her as his daughter.”

Ha is most known for her role in the Halo series, appearing in both of its seasons. She will next be seen in HBO Max’s Dune: Prophecy, a prequel series to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films exploring the origin of the Bene Gesserit and their manipulations of the Imperium’s great houses.
