Young Justice actor Khary Payton says season 3 has begun production

April 12, 2017 by Ricky Church

With the announcement last fall that Young Justice is returning for a heavily demanded third season, fans of the series have wondered how long it will be before it airs. While it still seems a long way away, Aqualad voice actor Khary Payton (The Walking Dead) has confirmed via Twitter that he’s begun his voice recording sessions for the upcoming season. Whether this means the rest original voice actors have also started is unclear, but we can probably assume that is the case.

When and how Young Justice will air its third season is unknown. Many have assumed it will not return to Cartoon Network, but will instead find its new home on Netflix. The streaming service is a big reason for Young Justice’s continued popularity, and previous statements by showrunners Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti have all but confirmed Netflix will be used to air season three. With the voice recording sessions now underway, hopefully we’ll get more information on the show’s return soon.
