Zack Snyder asked for Christopher Nolan’s permission to use The Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, “I think he found it a little bit hard”

January 28, 2016 by admin

Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy was highly praised upon its release, and is often hailed as the greatest achievement in big screen comic book adaptations. Someone who clearly agreed with this statement was Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder, who has admitted that he asked for Nolan’s permission to use the character in the upcoming movie.

“You tell me if you don’t want me to do it,” Snyder told Nolan, as recalled by the director in an interview with Empire. According to Snyder, there was a pause of silence before Nolan responded with, “Well, we don’t own these characters. When you’re done making Batman movies, someone else will [make them].”

“I think he found it a little bit hard,” Snyder admits. “I would feel the same way.”

Do you think Snyder needed to ask Nolan for permission to use Batman? Let us know in the comments below…
