Meet the (many) characters of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

November 4, 2014 by admin

Thanks to the good folk over at Comic Book Resources, we can take a look at the making of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and hear from the developers about their impressive roster of over 150 characters.

Check out images of the characters here, here and here. And check out the video over at CBR.

“We thought, LEGO Batman 2 introduced DC, let’s now go to town with it – let’s really go into in these characters and bring this world to life,” Executive Producer Phill Ring says. “We really wanted to dig into the wider world of everything that was not only DC, but also LEGO. From a DC perspective, we tried to get as much access to anything we can – comic books, TV series, the films, cartoons. Anything we can get our hands on.”

So far we’ve seen surprising inclusions like Mxyzptlk, Condiment King and Polka Dot Man, but we can also expect expanded universe inclusions like the 60s Batman TV series, Nurse Joker from The Dark Knight and even Oliver Queen, Felicity Smoke and Oliver Diggle from Arrow. But it doesn’t just stop with DC characters, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham also features filmmaker Kevin Smith (see here) and Looney Tunes star Duck Dodgers as the Green Lantoon.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is out on November 11th on XBox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Wii U.
