According to emails from Columbia’s Michael De Luca seen by The Daily Beast, Jeff Nichols is set to direct the Aquaman solo movie, which will see Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) taking on the role of the King of Atlantis following his debut appearance in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Nichols’ prvious credits include Shotgun Stories, Take Shelter and Mud.

So far, aside from Zack Snyder, the only others director a so far attached to Warner Bros.’ DC slate are David Ayer (Fury), who is set to direct 2016’s Suicide Squad, and Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad), who will helm the 2017 Wonder Woman movie.
