The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that The Dark Knight star Aaron Eckhart is set to join Tom Hanks (Saving Mr. Banks) for Clint Eastwood’s Captain Sully.
Oscar winner Hanks plays the legendary pilot Chelsey “Sully” Sullenberger, who safely landed a plane on the Hudson River in 2009, saving 1555 passengers on-board and making international headlines. Eckhart is portraying his first officer Jeff Skiles, who helped land the plane safely.
The film is in pre-production and is set for release some time in 2016.
