Chappie ripped apart in new CinemaSins video

August 5, 2015 by Justin Cook

Earlier this year, District 9 and Elysium director Neill Blomkamp brought us the critically panned science fiction film Chappie, which the guys over at CinemaSins decided to target for their latest video.

CinemaSins points out everything wrong with the film in less than 16 minutes, but per usual, the video contains massive spoilers. See it here…

At the box office, the film did manage to make more than double its $49 million budget, but still underperformed in North America and many other markets.

Chappie starred Sharlto Copley, who has been in each of Blomkamp’s films, Hugh Jackman (X-Men), Sigourney Weaver (Avatar), Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionare) and Jose Pablo Cantillo (The Walking Dead). From the band Die Antwoord, Ninja and Yolanda Visser also had major roles in the film.
