Quentin Tarantino developing new Western movie

November 27, 2013 by admin

With his last few films Quentin Tarantino has branched out from the crime / gangster genre where he made his name, tackling martial arts (Kill Bill), World War II (Inglourious Basterds) and the Old West (Django Unchained). However, appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, Tarantino has revealed that he’s set to stick with the Western for his next project, although he wasn’t giving much (i.e. nothing) away about his plans to revisit the genre.

“I can’t talk that much about it but I will say one thing,” Tarantino told talk show host Leno. “I haven’t told anyone about this publicly, but I will say the genre. It’s a western. It’s not a Django sequel, but it’s another Western. I had so much fun doing Django and I love westerns so much, that after I taught myself how to make one, it’s like ‘OK, now let me make another one now that I know what I’m doing.'”

Are you happy that Tarantino is heading back to the Western genre for his next movie? Let us know in the comments below…
