Lou Ferrigno claims that a new Hulk movie will shoot in a year

With several of Marvel’s Phase Three movies yet to be announced, there’s been some speculation as to whether The Incredible Hulk could find himself heading up another solo movie following his showstealing turn in 2012’s The Avengers. The character is said to have an expanded role in next year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now Lou Ferrigno – star of the 1970s TV series, and vocie of the Green Goliath in the MCU – has suggested that another Hulk movie is in the works…

“That is a long way from now because I think down the road, I think in another year, they’re going to film a solo Hulk movie,” Ferrigno told FilmFad when asked about the chances of another live action Hulk TV series. “But I think the series can happen if they finish doing the Avengers or the Hulk movie, that’s my guess for now.”

Ferrigno’s comments about another Incredible Hulk movie could be little more than speculation on his part, but you’d have to image Marvel will be giving serious thought to the idea, especially if Mark Ruffalo’s role in Age of Ultron is as well received as his turn in The Avengers.

As for a television series, Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim) did spend time developing a new Hulk show prior to The Avengers, but it would be surprising to see Ruffalo making the jump to the small screen, especially as Marvel has so many other TV projects in the pipeline.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for release in the UK on April 24th 2015 and North America on May 1st 2015, with Joss Whedon directing a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Incredible Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Paul Bettany (JARVIS / The Vision), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), James Spader (Ultron), Thomas Kretschmann (Baron Strucker) and Josh Brolin (Thanos).
