Supergirl audition tapes tease appearance from Superman

January 19, 2015 by admin

There has yet to be official casting news released for CBS’s Supergirl TV show, but some audition tapes have found their way online (thanks to SpoilerTV via CBM) that could give some details on the plot of the show.

The first set of videos feature actors reading for the role of Jimmy Olson, who is recounting the heroics of Superman saving a family from a burning building. If the audition scripts are accurate, it looks like Kara Danvers (Supergirl) will be working alongside Olsen. The final video is for someone auditioning for the role of Kara’s foster sister Alex, who is having a pop at Supergirl for rescuing people on a train, presumably the first time she shows her powers.

Check out the videos below:

Kara Zor-El aka Kara Danvers – Kara at age 12 was sent from her dying home planet of Krypton to Earth, where she was taken in by the Danvers, a foster family who taught her to be careful with her extraordinary powers. After repressing said skills for more than a decade, Kara is forced to bust out her super moves in public during an unexpected disaster. Energized by her heroism for the first time in her life, she begins embracing her abilities in the name of helping the people of her city, earning herself a super moniker along the way.
