With Disney’s D23 just around the corner, we’re expecting to hear some big Marvel announcements for Phase Three, particularly as the studio decided to skip San Diego Comic Con. However, one film that won’t have any announcements will be James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
The director tweeted out to confirm that they’re not ready for any news to be announced about the movie (though the script is finished), which you can check out below:

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is set for release on April 28th 2017 in the UK and on May 5th in the States. Confirmed as returning to the cast are Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebulda), Michael Rooker (Yondu) and Sean Gunn (Kraglin).
