Deadline is reporting that Mark Dacascos is set for a “heavily recurring role” in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where he’s set to play Mr. Giyera, a character said to be the new head of security at S.H.I.E.L.D..
Dacascos has previously experience with comic book properties, having appeared in The Flash in the 90s, as well as the TV series The Crow: Stairway to Heaven. His other credits include the likes of Double Dragon, Mortal Kombat, Brotherhood of the Wolf, and 1997’s Drive (which may just be my all-time favourite straight-to-video actioner).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Tuesday nights on ABC.
