Dan Stevens to star in Gareth Evans’ period revenge thriller Apostle

November 3, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Downton Abbey and The Guest star Dan Stevens is set to headline Apostle, a period revenge thriller from The Raid director Gareth Evans.

According to Variety, Apostle “follows a man who travels to a remote island and attempts to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a religious cult. The group demands a ransom for the sister’s return, undermining the man’s resolve to rescue her.”

2017 looks to be a big year for Stevens, with the British actor set to headline Marvel and FX’s X-Men TV series Legion, as well as portraying The Prince in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast.
