When he was cast as Marvel’s resident wall-crawler, one question that everyone had was just how many Marvel Cinematic Universe films Tom Holland had signed on for as Spider-Man. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Holland has confirmed that he signed on for six films, three of them being Spider-Man solo films, and the remaining three in other Marvel films.
“They give you options and those could be exercised whenever. Like a cameo in Avengers,” Holland said. “I’m unclear as to which movies though. I do know I have three Spider-Man appearances in other movies and three solo movies contracted. But if you have another movie, Marvel is so good at working around it. They’re very respectful of your life, really. They understand that you have to work on other movies, and they try and fix it up so you can work around each other.”
Holland has already fulfilled two of his contract commitments in this year’s Captain America: Civil War – Spider-Man’s introduction to the MCU – and next summer’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Its unclear which other films Holland will appear in, but based on the positive reception Holland garnered in Civil War its almost a certainty he will appear alongside the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War and possibly its sequel. Meanwhile, Michael Keaton has also been confirmed to be playing The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Spider-Man: Homecoming sees Tom Holland and Marisa Tomei reprising their roles from Captain America: Civil War as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Aunt May, alongside Marvel veterans Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. Undercover), Angourie Rice (The Nice Guys), Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Donald Glover (Community), Laura Harrier (One Life to Live), Kenneth Choi (Captain America: The First Avenger), Hannibal Buress (Broad City), Isabella Amara (The Boss), Jorge Lendeborg, Jr. (Graceland), JJ Totah (Glee), Abraham Attah (Beasts of No Nation), Michael Mando (Better Call Saul), Selenis Leyva (Orange Is the New Black), Bokeem Woodbine (Riddick), Tyne Daly (Cagney & Lacey), Garcelle Beauvais (Hollywood Today Live), Tiffany Espensen (Kirby Buckets), Michael Chernus (Orange is the New Black), Jona Xiao (Halt and Catch Fire) and Martha Kelly (Baskets). The film is set for release on July 7th, 2017.
