Daniel Craig to star in five more Bond films after Skyfall?

December 21, 2011 by admin

Daniel Craig (Cowboys & Aliens) could be in with a chance of breaking Roger Moore’s record as the longest-serving James Bond actor, as he has reportedly been offered a multi-million pound deal to continue in the role for another five films. Craig starred in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, and is currently filming his third outing as 007, Skyfall. Bond producer Michael G. Wilson told The People that he would love him to do five more films, saying:

“It’s certainly something we’ll be discussing with him once we finish shooting Skyfall. Filming has gone very well so far and I’d love Daniel to surpass Roger’s record and do eight pictures. Daniel’s been an absolute pleasure to be around because he takes the role so seriously. There’s really no one more passionate about making these films work than him – he’s a filmmaker’s dream.”

If Craig did sign on to shoot another five films and take his total to eight, it would beat Roger Moore’s seven Bond outings, Sean Connery’s six films and Pierce Brosnan’s four. Meanwhile, Skyfall is due in cinemas on October 26th 2012.
