David Duchovny says Chris Carter is working on third X-Files movie

October 13, 2013 by admin

The X-Files may be twenty years old now – and absent from the screen since 2008’s The X Files: I Want to Believe – but that doesn’t mean we’ve necessarily seen the last of FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, at least if stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have any say in the matter.

Speaking at a 20th Anniversary panel at the New York Comic Con yesterday, both Duchovny and Anderson admitted they were keen to reunite for the long-rumoured third movie, which Duchovny claims series creator Chris Carter is currently working on:

“I think Chris [Carter] is working on a script. Chris is shooting a pilot [for The After] right now, so he might not be working on the script, but he claims to be working on a script, and if he does do that and Fox wants to make it, Gillian will do it, I will do it, so start your writing campaign now. Seriously. We’d all love to do it.”

Do you think a third X-Files movie will ever become a reality? Let us know in the comments below….
