Farscape creator Rockne O’Bannon confirms movie in development

April 21, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Back in February it was reported that the cult sci-fi series Farscape is set to return with a new TV movie from director Brian Henson (executive producer of the original show) and screenwriter Justin Monjo. Well, now we have confirmation from Farscape creator  Rockne O’Bannon, who had this to say at WonderCon over the weekend:

“Yeah, yeah it’s the worst kept secret…We’re far from production, but yeah, the first step is Justin [Monjo] working on a script for us. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.”

According to earlier reports, the Farscape TV movie will be inspired Keith R.A. DeCandido’s comics and will “follow John and Aeryn’s son, D’Argo (or Little D, as we will always refer to him). Because their baby was exhibiting a set of interesting powers that made him a magnet for galactic villains, we find that John and Aeryn hide their son on Earth to grow up. Now the kid is 19 and ready to go into space with his parents.”
