June 10, 2014 by Gary Collinson

It’s been a long journey to the screen, having had a failed pilot at FX, but Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s comic book series Powers is finally set to make the jump from panel form courtesy of Sony Pictures TV, with Bendis announcing today that the series will arrive on Playstation Network this December. The first episode will air free for Playstation Network users, while PS Plus subscribers will be able to watch the entire season.

Powers is a police procedural superhero fantasy which follows Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, two detectives who are in charge of investigating crimes carried out by superpowered individuals and protecting humans from the collateral damage stemming from a world full of people with superhuman abilities.
