Jared Leto rumoured for Marvel’s Doctor Strange

June 4, 2014 by Gary Collinson

After last night’s announcement that Scott Derrickson (Sinister) will direct Marvel’s Doctor Strange, it was inevitable that a casting rumour for the Sorcerer Supreme would follow, and sure enough BadAssDigest is reporting that Oscar-winner Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) is being eyed for the role of Dr. Stephen Strange.

Leto isn’t the first actor to be linked to the Master of the Mystic Arts, with Johnny Depp (The Lone Ranger) allegedly approached by Marvel “eons ago”. Still, with a director now seemingly in place, we shouldn’t have much of a wait until we get some official news from Marvel, with Hall H of the San Diego Comic-Con looking a pretty good bet for the unveiling of the studio’s full Phase Three line-up.

Would you like to see Jared Leto as Doctor Strange, and if not who would you cast as the Sorcerer Supreme?
