Godzilla 2 to feature Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah

July 26, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Kicking off today’s Legendary Pictures panel at Hall H of the San Diego Comic-Con International, CEO Thomas Tull offered up a first look teaser for the sequel to this year’s Godzilla, which revealed that the sequel will see the King of the Monsters going up against three of his classic foes in Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah!

Rodan Mothra King Ghidorah

Speaking via a pre-recorded video, director Gareth Edwards revealed that he was taking a break from the pressures of big franchises and fanboy scrutinity to direct “a small sci-fi movie”, which just so happens to be a standalone Star Wars due out in 2016, so we’ll presumably have to wait until 2017 at the earliest for Godzilla 2.
