Could Twin Peaks be returning to television?

It seems every few months there is a new rumor related to David Lynch and Mark Frost possibly returning to their cult hit television series Twin Peaks, although it usually ends in promotion for something like a Blu-ray release of the series with tons of unreleased footage meant to answer some leftover questions. Nevertheless, we are back in speculation mode after these tweets quoting The Man From Another Place…

For those that haven’t seen the show, there is a critical plot point alluding to the narrative continuing 25 years after its initial ending. Twin Peaks left the air 23 years ago, so the timing is beginning to come together. It remains to be seen if these tweets mean anything, but it is exciting to see more teasing of the series possibly making a return.

If you haven’t seen Twin Peaks yet, I strongly suggest you go watch it in all of its idiosyncratic and outright bizarre glory.

The body of a young girl (Laura Palmer) is washed up on a beach near the small Washington state town of Twin Peaks. FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper is called in to investigate her strange demise only to uncover a web of mystery that ultimately leads him deep into the heart of the surrounding woodland and his very own soul.
