POSSIBLE SPOILER – Major character already dead in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

December 8, 2014 by admin

Filming has wrapped, but we’re still a little way off from an official trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (unless it does come out this year, attached to The Hobbit: The Five Armies), but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill churning.

So what do have today? Robin? Doomsday? KGBeast?? Nope. According to Bad Ass Digest, there will be a major Batman character that will already be dead by the time the movie starts.

Still with us? Spoilers ahead…

So, the site is claiming that Detective Jim Gordon will already be dead in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with script calling for a shot of his memorial plate. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard a rumour that the Batman character will already be dead, with the same site reporting that Robin would have bitten the dust as well.

What do we make of this new rumour?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016 with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
