Michael C. Hall joins Disney’s Pete’s Dragon remake

January 11, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Coming hot on the heels of the casting of Wes Bentley (Interstellar), it has now been announced that Dexter star Michael C. Hall has joined Pete’s Dragon, Disney’s upcoming remake of the 1977 film.

David Lowery is directing the film, which will star Oakes Fegley (This Is Where I Leave You) as Pete alongside Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World) and Robert Redford (Captain America: The Winter Soldier).

The remake is set to be live-action (with CGI bringing the dragon to life) and will be a straight narrative rather than a musical. It is set to arrive some time in 2016, although an exact release date is yet to be announced.
