Kevin Smith, Gary Shore and more teaming up for horror anthology Holidays

February 5, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like XYZ and Distant Corners Entertainment are looking to get in on the resurgance of the horror anthology movie, with Deadline revealing that numerous directors have signed on for Holidays, a new feature which will revolve around special occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Valentine’s Day.

Among the directors so far announced for the project are Kevin Smith (Tusk), Gary Shore (Dracula Untold), Scott Stewart (Legion), Matt Johnson (The Dirties), Nicholas McCarthy (At The Devil’s Door), Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch (Starry Eyes), Sarah Smith (The Midnight Swim) and Anthony Scott Burns (Dark Matter).

“Holidays is a great opportunity for some of the most creative and twisted minds in the genre space today to really let loose and have fun,” states producer John Hegeman. “This is the first project going into production for Distant Corners, which aims to launch four-six genre franchise properties annually.”

Details are scarce, although Smith has revealed on Twitter that his segment is going by the title Hollow Ian. More news as it comes…
