According to Deadline, Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises, Starred Up) is wanted for a lead role in Star Wars: Rogue One, the upcoming spin-off movie from Disney and Lucasfilm.
Given the secrecy surrounding all things Star Wars, there’s no detail on a potential character for Mendelsohn, but should he sign on for the project he would join female lead Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) in the film.
Star Wars: Rogue One is being directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla), and is set for release on December 16th 2016.
