David Hasselhoff confirmed for Sharknado 3

Variety is reporting that Syfy and The Asylum’s Sharknado 3 has added former lifeguard supremo David Hasselhoff to its cast.

Set to play Gilbert Sheperd, the father of Ian Ziering’s character Fin, Hasselhoff joins previously announced cast members including the returning Ziering and Tara Reid,while Bo Derek, Jerry Springer, WWE star Chris Jericho and Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC fame are all set to guest star.

Premiering in July on SyFy , Sharknado 3 is set to cause “mass destruction in Washington, D.C., before roaring down the Eastern Seaboard and into Florida”. Anthony C. Ferrante, director of the first two Sharknados, returns behind the camera once again.
