Entertainment Tonight has revealed that Eddie Murphy and Kate Hudson are in talks to join The Weinstein Company’s upcoming biopic of legendary comedian Richard Pryor.
According to the report, Murphy has been tapped to portray Pryor’s father LeRoy, an alcohol former boxer and hustler, while Hudson is being eyed to play his fourth (and seventh) wife Jennifer Lee Pryor.
Starring as Pryor in the film will be Mike Epps (The Hangover), while Lee Daniels (The Butler) is handling directing duties.
