April 8, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Walt Disney and IMAX have today announced that they has renewed their deal through to 2017, which covers a host of live-action and animated tentpole releases from the Mouse House.

Falling under the near deal are Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Episode VIII, Star Wars: Rogue One, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Finding Dory, Toy Story 4, The Jungle Book, Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

“Our relationship with Disney has continued to strengthen after having released 25 films in Imax theatres since 2009,” said IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond. “The films in this new agreement promise to continue to provide IMAX audiences the highest-quality films available.”
