Brittany Ishibashi to play Karai in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2

Deadline has revealed that Brittany Ishibashi (Bones) has signed on to play Karai – daughter of the Heroes in a Half-Shell’s arch-nemesis Shredder – in the currently in production Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. She will take over the role from Minae Noji, who briefly appeared as the character in last year’s reboot.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is once again produced by Michael Bay, with David Green (Earth to Echo) directing. Returning to the cast are Megan Fox (April O’Neill), Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick), William Fichtner (Eric Sacks), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) and Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), while new additions include Stephen Amell (Arrow) as Casey Jones, Tyler Perry (Gone Girl) as Baxter Stockman, Brian Tee (The Wolverine) as The Shredder, Gary Anthony Williams (Boston Legal) as Bebop and Alessandra Ambrosio (Casino Royale) and Laura Linney (The Fifth Estate) in unconfirmed roles.
