Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys heading to Empire season 2

May 12, 2015 by James Garcia

Empire was one of the biggest surprises of the 2014-2015 television season, and has a lot to live up to in its sophomore year. To help, Fox has looked for big stars to show up in guest appearances, and has already found three candidates: Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys.

There’s no word on how the three will be used in the series, or how sizeable their roles will be. You can probably bet that Kravitz and Keys will sing a few tunes while they’re there though.

Common and Oprah Winfrey are also rumored to appear, though no official confirmation has been made. As the upfronts continue, we’ll likely hear more about Empire in the coming days. The show will return to Fox this fall on Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
