Fox developing 24 spinoff with new twentysomething male lead

June 1, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Last month, FOX Television CEO Gary Newman revealed that early development is underway on “another version” of 24, and now TV Line has revealed that the project will centre on a new male lead and will serve as a limited series, which could potentially become a long-term property.

24 producer Howard Gordon tells the site that the spinoff would follow a twentysomething antihero working alongside an older, more seasoned female agent – who won’t be Kate Morgan, played by Yvonne Strahovski in 24: Live Another Day. However, the door would be open for Strahovski to appear, while the play is for Keifer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer to appear as a guest star.

Are you excited about this 24 spinoff, or is it a mistake moving the focus away from Jack Bauer? Let us know in the comments below…
