Rumour: Marvel wants Angelina Jolie to direct Charlize Theron as Captain Marvel

June 3, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Dubious rumour of the day time!

Back in February, it was claimed by OK! that Marvel Studios is eyeing Angelina Jolie to direct its first female-led superhero offering Captain Marvel, and now the magazine is added to is report by suggesting that Jolie will direct Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) in the title role as Carol Danvers.

A “source” for the publication states that: “Marvel has been courting Angie to direct the project and Charlize is a clear fan favourite for the starring role. If Charlize were to get the part, Angie would almost certainly sign on to work with her new pal.”

If I was a betting man, I’d say this report is complete speculation, but would you like to see Charlize Theron as Captain Marvel, with Jolie directing? Let us know in the comments below…
