The Last Witch Hunter sequel already in development

Vin Diesel loves his franchises doesn’t he? Riddick, Furious, GOTG, The Pacifier (just kidding!) Very rarely will a Vin Diesel character just have room for one movie. Well now comes the news that the studio behind his upcoming supernatural, fantasy flick The Last Witch Hunter have already started planning the sequel.

The movie isn’t actually released until October but the studio are so confident it will be a hit that they’ve asked Diesel to commit to at least one more movie.

The actor confirmed the news via his Facebook page:

“So the studio apparently is so excited by The Last Witch Hunter – The Axe and Cross franchise… that they are already commencing on the next one. The first one doesn’t hit theaters until October 23rd, yet they want me to commit and already block out time to film it. As always, I love to hear your feedback…”

Diesel stars as Kaulder, an immortal witch hunter tasked with the job of coming between the covens of New York City and their goal to destroy humanity by way of a horrific plague. Michael Caine (Interstellar) Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones) and Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings) also star with Breck Eisner (The Crazies) directing.
