Jamie Bell reveals there’s no post-credit scene in Fantastic Four

July 14, 2015 by Gary Collinson

If you were planning on sticking around after the credits to see if there’s a stinger attached to Fantastic Four, it seems you’ll be wasting your time as Jamie Bell has revealed that the upcoming 20th Century Fox reboot won’t be carrying on the Marvel tradition.

“No we don’t have a post-credits scene,” Bell told MTV, before stating that the film does lay the groundwork for future instalments: “It does leave the door wide open for a lot of different movies. I think this movie really focuses on the origins of each character individually – how they get their powers, how they learn to deal with them, how they learn to harness them. That’s kind of where the movie ends. But then there’s so much more to go on from there – it really leaves the door open.”

Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters on August 7th, with Josh Trank (Chronicle) directing a cast that includes Miles Teller (Whiplash) as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara (House of Cards) as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station) as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Jamie Bell (Nymphomaniac) as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Doctor Doom, Reg E. Cathey (House of Cards) as Dr. Storm, and Tim Blake Nelson (The Incredible Hulk) as Harvey Elder/Mole Man.
