Paul Feig reveals character names from his Ghostbusters reboot

July 19, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Last week Paul Feig revealed the first official image of his new Ghostbusters from the upcoming female-led reboot, and now the director has taken to Twitter to reveal the character names from the film.

“Okay, here you go,” said Feig, responding to a question from a follower asking for the names. “Erin Gilbert, Jillian Holtzmann, Abby Yates and Patty Tolan.”

Feig did not elaborate on which actresses would be playing each character, although Melissa McCarthy is expected to be playing Abby Yates, based on a nametag that was spotted in a set photo.

Ghostbusters is set for release on July 15th 2016, with a cast that also includes Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Andy Garcia (Goodfellas), Michael K. Williams (Boardwalk Empire), Matt Walsh (Veep), Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live) and Neil Casey (Saturday Night Live).
